Taylor's 400 series:

The combination Sitka Spruce/Ovangkol offers an excellent and complex sound with sufficient bass. All models of the series come in High Gloss Finish and offer Expression System 2 electronics with three sensors in the e- version. Thanks to the wide range of body shapes available, there is a wide choice for the most diverse directions within the series.

Grand Orchestra body:

The Grand Orchestra is the largest corpus form offered by Taylor. Accordingly, the body unleashes a true power of sound with powerful, full bass and a gigantic dynamic range. Nevertheless, the Grand Orchestra keeps the balance and presents the clearly defined height range appropriately. All in all, an extremely complex and multidimensional sound.

Expression System 2:

The Expression System 2 is an upgrade to the previously used version of the in-house pickup system. In contrast to previous practice, the transducer of the ES2 is not located underneath but behind the bar insert. This was because the high tensile force of the strings limits the vertical vibration of the inlay, but it can swing back and forth. The piezo pickup takes advantage of this movement to produce a warm, full and less biting, bright sound.
