The PE-505 sets new standards in analog sound reproduction. From the head amplifier to the equalization amplifier to the buffer amplifier, this high-end device uses a fully balanced circuit design in all stages. Even extremely weak audio signals are optimally amplified, equalized and cleaned up. Even unbalanced signals at the conventional RCA input are converted to differential processing mode directly after the input terminals. The result is a breathtakingly pure and natural sound image.
The equalization at the differential pickup output absorbs errors at the balanced output and delivers an even more accurate audio signal. With an RIAA deviation of less than ±0.05 dB (20 Hz to 20 kHz), the newly developed AF-type equalization amplifier achieves an almost unbelievable level of precision.
In addition to the modern RIAA curve, individual curves on monaural records from DECCAand COLUMBIA are also supported. The practical DEMAG function demagnetizes magnetized iron cores of MC cartridges and the step-up transformer in just 30 seconds.
