The TEAC TN-4D-SE is a direct-drive analog turntable with an elegant, extremely flat design. This is made possible by the newly developed brushless DC servo motor, which ensures crystal-clear speed accuracy. A computer-controlled feedback circuit regulates the motor and achieves low wow and flutter values - perfect for such a flat housing.
The TN-4D-SE is supplied with the highly regarded SUMIKO Oyster MM cartridge for sonorous music enjoyment. No matter what music you listen to, the Oyster delivers a powerful and detailed performance to extract every detail from your vinyl records.
In collaboration with SAEC Corporation, a manufacturer of high-end tonearms, the tonearm was given a precise, pivoting tonearm base. Unlike conventionally mounted tonearms, the fine vertical movements contribute to a more dynamic sound with excellent resolution. The S-shaped tonearm has a universal headshell attachment for quick and easy cartridge changes (14-23 g). A precision counterweight for stylus pressure and an anti-skating mechanism round off the tonearm technology.
The TN-4D-SE has a built-in PHONO EQ amplifier for MM cartridges. This allows you to connect the turntable directly to the LINE level inputs of your existing hi-fi system. The operational amplifier used is the NJM8080 IC from New Japan Radio Corporation, which amplifies tiny signals to LINE level without any loss of quality.
The extremely flat housing in elegant black makes the analog record player a timeless eye-catcher on any hi-fi shelf. The feet with excellent shock absorption make the TN-4D-SE highly resistant to acoustic feedback.
