The TN-5BB turntable combines state-of-the-art audio technology with exquisite Japanese design. It supports a balanced output for the purest signal transmission via RCA and XLR and offers a unique hybrid housing made of synthetic marble, precious washi paper and MDF. SAEC's 9-inch S-shaped universal arm guarantees detailed tracking of your vinyl collection.

The 20 mm thick acrylic platter weighs 1.7 kg and offers excellent flatness and smoothness. Acrylic has the decisive advantage that it is close to the polyvinyl material of records in the triboelectric series. This minimizes charging through friction. You can place records directly on the turntable without a platter and enjoy a crystal-clear, unadulterated sound

PRS3 belt drive

The TN-5BB uses the belt drive method with a flat belt that transmits the power of the DC motor to the outer circumference of the platter. An optical sensor on the underside detects the rotation speed, and an automatic adjustment mechanism controls the motor by servo. This Platter Rotation Sensing Servo System (PRS3) realizes a high rotation precision that would be almost impossible to achieve with motor alone.

Automatic arm lifter & Ortofon 2M RED

The motorized arm lifter automatically lifts off at the end of playback. The supplied Ortofon 2M RED enjoys an excellent reputation in the audio world. It is already installed at the factory and matched to the dome tweeter. Shortly after unpacking, you can enjoy your first records - without any tedious adjustment work.
