The THORENS TD 204 is the perfect turntable for audiophile beginners. Thanks to the modern bearings installed in the TD 204, the friction values have been extremely reduced, which is a special feature in this price category. Furthermore, the TD 204 was equipped with a TP 120 aluminium tonearm in J-shape with an effective mass of just over 15 grams. The platter, made of die-cast aluminium, is driven by a finely ground drive belt and the base of the TD 204 stands on four vibration-reducing feet. The detachable headshell with SME connector was fitted with an AT95E from Audio Technica. High-quality RCA connections on the rear and the integrated, switchable phono preamplifier provide a stable connection to the amplifier.
