TipTop Audio has collaborated with Buchla to create a fully Eurorack-compatible version of the 230 triple envelope follower. With the 230t, it is possible to simultaneously generate CV and Gate from an audio signal, which can be used to switch sequencers, modulate a filter, trigger a Sample & Hold or control the volume of a VCA. The module generates pulses/gates and control voltages on three channels, which are derived from the incoming audio signals. Each channel has two modes: SUSTAINED generates the pulse only when a certain voltage is exceeded. The TRANSIENT mode enables the detection of attack transients in the presence of background noise and over a considerable amplitude range.
