With the Vox AC10C1 Limited Edition Vintage Black , the British manufacturer Vox reissues one of its original guitar amps in a modernized form. First produced between 1959 and 1965, this compact combo amp closed the gap between the student amp AC4 and the professional AC15. Accordingly, the AC10C1 Limited Edition is a straight tube amp with two 12AX7 tubes in the preamp , providing unsurpassed dynamics and the typical "Vox chime" in the treble . In addition to the 2-band EQ for adjusting the sound, the Vox AC10C1 combo amp also features a reverb effect that gives the guitar sound a plastic spatial depth. The power amp draws 10 watts of power from two EL84 tubes , which the combo uses to amplify all electric guitars at living room and rehearsal room volumes. The power is delivered via a 10" Celestion G10-45 Creamback speaker , whose vocal mids and glassy highs perfectly match the character of the Vox AC10C1 Limited Edition Vintage Black.
