With the Vox AC30C2 Combo Limited Edition Classic Vintage Red, the British amplifier manufacturer continues the legacy of the legendary Vox AC30, whose sound played a pivotal role in shaping the albums of the British Invasion. Equipped with a normal and top boost channel, as well as reverb and tremolo effects, this tube amplifier delivers that iconic sound. Its unmistakable British chime is produced with 30 watts of power and two Celestion Greenback speakers, offering stage-ready performance.
Just like its renowned predecessors, the Vox AC30 C2 guitar amplifier features two channels that provide a broad tonal range. The normal channel, equipped with a volume control, excels at delivering glassy clean tones, while the top boost channel offers a creamy overdrive, adjustable via volume, bass, and treble controls. Both channels share the signature Vox chime in the treble range, giving electric guitars exceptional presence. Additionally, each channel has Hi and Lo inputs, offering different gain levels and allowing both channels to be "patched" together. The master section includes tone cut and master volume controls to shape the overall sound of the amplifier.
The Vox AC30C2 Combo also includes built-in reverb and tremolo effects, significantly expanding its sound capabilities. The reverb adds a harmonious three-dimensional quality to the sound, giving each note a rich, spatial presence. The reverb’s character can be precisely fine-tuned with the Level and Tone controls. The tremolo effect offers harmonic volume modulation, with depth and intensity adjustable through dedicated controls. Additionally, a serial effects loop is available for integrating external effects devices, which can be completely bypassed when not in use.
The power section of the Vox AC30C2 is driven by four EL84 tubes, delivering a full 30 watts of power through two 12" speakers, providing substantial volume for stage performances and rehearsals. The two Celestion G12 Greenback speakers deliver a classic vintage sound, offering tight bass, warm vocal midrange, and sweet treble that perfectly complement the amp’s character. Furthermore, the combo features two external speaker outputs, allowing for a different sound profile or the ability to cover larger spaces with a larger speaker setup.
Very nice amplifier providing plenty of power and headroom with the ability to produce overdriven sound at lower volume levels. More traditional amplifier set-up with on board authentic reverb unit and lovely sounding tremolo and sufficient tone shaping controls. That chimey Vox sound and suitable for a good range of the musical spectrum.
Also comes with a serial effects loop which is a must to enable versatile sound possibilities in the right places.
