With the Victory Amplifiers V4 The Sheriff Preamp the British amp company presents a two-channel tube preamp in apedal format. As a member of the Sheriff series, the analog tube circuitry of the V4 The Sheriff delivers typical British clean and overdrive sounds for blues, rock and metal.
Analog Tube Circuitry
The analog circuitry of Victory's V4 The Sheriff Preamp uses an EC900 tube and three CV4014 tubes, which are operated at high voltages for a particularly dynamic sound with a rich and harmonious harmonic spectrum.
Two channels for British-influenced sounds
Depending on the position of the Volume and Master controls,Channel 1 of the Victory The Sheriff Preamp delivers characterful clean tones that move along the sweet spot to harmonic break-upor juicy overdrive for classic blues-rock licks. In Channel 2, on the other hand, the guitar preamp delivers the juicy distortion of tuned Brit amps, which, thanks to its biting mids, can cut through even the densest band sounds. To customize the guitar sound, the V4 The Sheriff features a common 3-band EQ for both channels. In addition, the three-stage Bright Switch influences the overall sound to perfectly adapt the preamp to the equipment used.
Standalone and amp-through
Thanks to the extensive connections, the versatile V4 The Sheriff Preamp from Victorycan be integrated into almost any stage or recording setup. If the preamp is to be used classically in front of a guitar amp, power amp or interface, the standalone mode is the perfect choice. Using the four-cable method, the amp-through mode allows you to replace the preamp of your own guitar amp with the Sheriff as soon as it is activated. This gives your amp two channels of completely independent tone.
