The Walrus Audio Mako R1 MKII High-Fidelity StereoReverb at a glance:
The Walrus Audio Mako R1 MKII delivers studio-quality reverb algorithms that cover everything from classic reverb tones to richly modulated, experimental textures. This high-fidelity stereo reverb pedal offers intuitive control through a bright OLED display and a wide range of features that give you full creative freedom to shape your reverb sound. In addition to traditional algorithms like Spring, Plate, and Hall, the R1 MKII introduces modern reverb types designed to create dreamy textures and immersive modulation. The BFR algorithm, for example, offers a vast, arena-like space with nearly infinite decay and bright, vocal-style overtones. The Refract algorithm introduces glitchy textures and sweet, warped modulation when the Rate control is pushed, making it ideal for lofi and experimental genres. The Air algorithm produces a diffuse ambient effect that carries some of the shimmer character but with added clarity and brilliance in the overtones.
MIDI compatibility and numerous preset memory locations
The R1 MKII provides nine onboard preset slots, expandable to 128 via MIDI, allowing you to store and recall your favorite settings with ease. A dedicated feedback EQ lets you sculpt the frequency response of the reverb, offering deep control over its tonal character. The pedal includes both MIDI In and MIDI Thru ports for easy integration into more complex setups. Another standout feature is the sustain/lush footswitch, which allows you to freeze or extend the decay of the active reverb in real time, opening up even more expressive possibilities. Whether you're after lush, traditional ambience or pushing into ambient and experimental territories, the Walrus Audio Mako R1 MKII provides the perfect platform for deep, stereo reverb exploration and creative sound design.
