The Warm Audio WA-47jr large-diaphragm condenser microphone is a discrete, transformerless FET version of the renowned '47 classic that has been used on countless hit albums over the past 50 years. The WA-47jr is equally suited for use in professional recording studios as well as home studio, live and broadcast applications. It harmonizes great with vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, acoustic and electric bass, drums, piano, strings, brass and woodwind instruments, and numerous other sources. The WA47jr uses a specially designed k47 capsule, which was used in the classic '47 microphone and is also used in its Warm Audio big brother, the WA-47. It is carefully manufactured with high precision by an Australian based capsule manufacturer and has a very similar sound to the original '47 microphones. The 100% discrete circuitry of the WA47jr uses high-quality Toshiba FETs, Wima film capacitors and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors. The electronics are modernized and somewhat simpler than the original, but the components and circuits used are first-class throughout and exhibit an incomparable sound quality.
