The Warm Audio Fen-tone is a tribute to the legendary ribbon microphones of the 1950s - equipped with state-of-the-art components to bring the iconic sound of past decades into the here and now in the highest quality. Inspired by the classic B&O design, it impresses with its compact, slim format with ventilated sides, which integrates effortlessly into any studio situation - even in cramped setups.

Thanks to high-quality components such as a custom-made Japanese ribbon, a powerful neodymium magnet and a CineMag-USA transformer, the Fen-tone delivers the warm, detailed sound heard on countless legendary recordings.

Sound character that tells stories

Whether it's rich bass, present mids or gently rounded highs - the Fen-tone masters every nuance. The frequency response of 30 Hz to 15 kHz (+/- 3 dB) ensures natural warmth and a pleasant presence, without sharpness or annoying sibilants. The microphone shows its strength particularly at high sound pressure levels: electric guitar amplifiers, brass sections, drum overheads or piano - every instrument benefits from the unmistakable sound signature of this microphone.

A highlight is the "forgiving" treble response, which guarantees a smooth recording without harshness even with aggressive sound sources.

Integrated preamplifier - more level, more possibilities

With the 26 dB JFET In-Line Warm Lifter Preamp, the Fen-tone offers a decisive advantage: even with low-power audio interfaces or inexpensive preamps, the sound remains powerful, clear and detailed. This feature makes it possible to use the microphone to its full extent even without expensive external Preamps - ideal for mobile setups or home studios.

The switchable function allows flexible use in both passive and active mode, depending on the recording environment.
