Mahogany and maple

Zakk Wylde Wylde Audio Odin chose the classic combination of mahogany and maple as the material for the distinctive body, while the glued neck is made of maple and a Palisander -fingerboard. This combination promises a powerful primary sound that is the perfect basis for fat riffs and singing solos. The comfortably shaped neck in combination with the short 625 mm scale promises comfortable playability over the entire fingerboard. Here, large block inlays Pearloid ensure perfect orientation between the 22 Jumbo frets.

Active EMG pickups

The pickup assembly of the Wylde Audio Odin Blackout Bullseye Zakk Wyldes consists of an EMG 81 on the bridge and an EMG 85 on the neck, Zakk Wyldes preferred combination. With its tight bass foundation, powerful midrange and outgoing treble spectrum, the active EMG 81 Humbucker also asserts itself in low tunings and presents riffs and licks with precise articulation. The EMG 85 pickup, on the other hand, convinces with its moderate, warm tone, which lets clean melodies and arpeggios pearl out of the amplifier or makes solos sing.
