For decades, the Yamaha C 40 series has stood for the perfect prerequisite for learning to play the guitar easily and successfully. In addition to excellent quality, the Yamaha C 40 M II 4/4 concert guitar also impresses with a finish that is perfectly adapted to the player, which is particularly noticeable when gripping. Despite a laminated construction, the instrument produces a powerful sound that is interspersed with warm bass frequencies and unfolds quickly and long-lasting thanks to a lightweight construction. In addition, the Japanese traditional manufacturer also focuses on sustainability and uses only locally available tonewoods for its neck and body materials to prevent unnecessary waste of natural resources and unnecessary transport routes.
For the body construction, the manufacturer uses a laminated spruce top, which due to its thin construction and finish produces powerful treble frequencies that harmonize perfectly with the warm bass frequencies of the body made of Locally-Sourced Tonewood. A subtle black binding borders the top and body, creating a subtle transition between the materials used.
An elaborate soundhole rosette adorns the light spruce top, giving the otherwise plain instrument a very traditional touch and harmonizing perfectly with the dark rosewood bridge.
The heart of the Yamaha C 40 M II is the flat neck made of Locally-Sourced-Tonewood, which guarantees comfortable playability in all 18 frets, especially for beginners, and is very obliging to grip in all positions. A nut width of 52 mm provides sufficient space on the entire rosewood fingerboard, so that even extensive fingerings are easy to manage. Clean intonation over the entire scale length of 650 mm is ensured by a bridge inlay and nut made of urea, whose fine workmanship fully speaks for the instrument's high-quality nature.
Another quality feature is the chrome-plated Yamaha RM-1252X tuners, which guarantee precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings and perfectly round off the instrument in its application-oriented manner with their robust construction. Medium gauge strings are factory-wound for additional ease of fingering.
Fantastic guitar, specially considering the price. Im not a beginner, but Im also not a professional. Im a casual guitarrist, who enjoys playing, from time to time, guitar in the privacy of my home, for myself, for my familiy and close friends. If this is your case, you will not get a better deal!
Guitar is OK for a beginner. Theres only one inlay dot at the 7th fret a beginner would want more. Apart from that a good quitar, built with a good quality. Sound is good and much better than the cheap acoustic guitars. Definitely worth the price.
The Yamaha C40 is very comfortable and easy to play, the adjustment of the strings is very precise. I easily recommend buying.
This is perfect for beginner level. I just started to play and the sound quality is quite good. I am satisfied with the price and performance of this product.
The product is not super excellent, but considering its pairce, the quality is sufficiently good
