4/4-classical guitar, massive cedar top, Ovangkol body, 650 mm scale length, Nato neck, rosewood fingerboard, 52 mm nut width, high gloss finish
With the Yamaha CG 162 C NT Cedar, the Japanese manufacturer expands its popular student series to a 4/4 concert guitar with fine materials and high playing comfort, which suits beginners as well as advanced players.
Wood and construction
Due to its high-quality construction consisting of a solid cedar top, the instrument produces an expressive sound that is particularly warm in the bass and midrange frequencies. A laminated Ovangkol body enriches the overall tone with a powerful saturation that helps the sound to unfold very quickly and completely. The CG 162 C NT Cedar owes its easy playability to a flat nato neck with a rosewood fingerboard, which in combination with a generous nut width of 52 mm and a scale length of 650 mm is exceptionally easy and clean to play.
Hardware
The golden RM-1157G-50XA tuners also speak for the high quality of the instrument and allow precise tuning of the strings, which intonate perfectly in all 18 frets due to a conscientiously processed bridge inlay and a saddle made of urea. A noble high-gloss finish rounds off the entire work visually perfect and gives the Yamaha CG 162 C NT Cedar guitar a coherent and aesthetic appearance.
