The CXR12 MK3 is a passive 2-way 12" full-range loudspeaker with a bass-reflex design for FOH applications, floor monitoring and use as a stage sidefill. A 12"-woofer with a 2.5"-voice coil and a 1"-throat compression driver with a 1.75"-diaphragm cover a frequency response ranging from 51 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). The power handling is 275 W NOISE, 550 W PGM and 1,100 W MAX at a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. With a sensitivity of 94 dB SPL and a calculated maximum peak sound pressure level of 124 dB SPL at a distance of 1 m, the loudspeaker is suitable for high-performance sound reinforcement applications.
Controlled dispersion and flexible deployment
The generously sized horn ensures uniform directivity across a wide frequency range. The dispersion angle is 90° × 60°, and the crossover frequency is 1,900 Hz. Optimised positioning of the bass reflex port reduces the effects of standing waves. The symmetrical, multifunctional enclosure made from injection-moulded polypropylene also allows it to be used as a floor monitor with a tilt angle of 52°.
Two Speakon NL4MP sockets connected in parallel allow for integration and signal routing within passive loudspeaker systems. Two 35 mm flange mounts allow the CXR12 MK3 to be mounted either at 0° or at an angle of -7 °. Mounting points for eye bolts also allow for suspended installation. The cabinet measures 600 × 366 × 350 mm (H × W × D) and weighs 15.4 kg. The UB-DXRDHR12A U-bracket is available as an optional accessory.
