The Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid Snare Earth Sunbrurst 14 "x5,5" is a high-end snare with hybrid shells made of oak/phenol. The shells of the Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid series consist of a total of 7 layers, three layers outside and inside each enclose a layer of phenol. This is a synthetic resin, which gives the sound a massive power and a lot of projection. Another special feature is extraordinary finish: here was used a Japanese technique called "UZUKURI". The softer parts of the wood grain are sanded and pre-painted to have more texture and to highlight finer color details in the Finish.
