The Yamaha MGX12V is the MGX12 platform for anyone who wants to combine audio and video in one compact system. In addition to the digital mixing engine with 4 mono and 4 stereo channels, sound pad and FX returns, the V-model offers HDMI IN/THRU and an HDMI-USB audio/video interface function. This means that cameras or other HDMI sources can not only be integrated into a streaming or recording system, but video and audio can also be captured simultaneously and looped through in high resolution.
This is particularly attractive for musicians, content creators, podcast studios or hybrid live events: the MGX12V combines FOH/monitor mixing and content output in a single device. An 18x18 audio interface in 32-bit/96 kHz is available via USB MAIN, and microSD multitrack backups and Bluetooth playback are also possible. The integrated DSP package, including REV-X reverb, dynamics tools and creative processors, ensures that your sound is controlled and of high quality both in the room and in the stream.
The GUI of the new Yamaha MGX can be designed to be versatile, so that you can route important functions directly to a separate control panel. This applies to the control buttons next to and below the display.
The 4.3" touchscreen plus five controls/encoders form the central control point of the Yamaha MGX. This allows you to work quickly and purposefully on the digital mixing console.
The MGX-V models (MGX12V/MGX16V) have HDMI IN/THRU and an HDMI-USB audio/video interface, with which audio and video from external sources (e.g. camera or console) can be recorded simultaneously and looped through via HDMI. According to the brochure, capture and pass-through are specified up to 4K/60 fps and 1080p/240 fps respectively.
The MGX-V models (MGX12V/MGX16V) output video (HDMI) and audio directly to a USB-connected computer via HDMI-USB audio/video interface, allowing the signal to be processed in typical streaming/recording workflows. Additional remote functions via Stream Deck have been announced.
