With the NU1XA, Yamaha presents the next evolutionary stage after its successful predecessor, the NU1X. With its timelessly classic design, the NU1XA impresses with its inner and outer values: The NU1XA has a complex and highly developed action for pianos, which transmits the nuanced movements of the keys to the hammer. It responds precisely to the subtlest nuances and expressive intentions of the player, including sensitive playing techniques such as trills and continuously repeated notes.
The NU1XA features a specially developed Articulation Sensor System that accurately and continuously detects the pianist's subtle nuances through non-contact electromagnetic sensors and Yamaha's proprietary algorithm. This system uses two separate sensors on each key: one for the hammer - the most important part of the acoustic piano sound mechanism - and the other for the key itself, to accurately measure the movement of the release of the fingers and articulate the specific nuances when the sound stops. Together, they fully capture the player's subtlest expressions.
