The speaker covers protect your speakers from adverse weather conditions in outdoor use, from dust and dirt during storage or the stresses during transport. The covers can be opened by zipper at the control panel of the speakers as well as to the front, so the functionality of the speakers is given even with the cover attached.

I decided to get the genuine Yamaha speaker covers instead of a cheaper option. I am so glad I did. The design, functionality and strength is even better than I expected. They also allow the speakers who be used in all weather - that was a nice surprise!
