If you need a compact audio interface for professional audio recording or music streaming, the Zoom AMS-24 is an excellent choice. It doesn’t matter which DAW you use, whether you prefer recording guitars or vocals, or which streaming platform you’re working with – this USB 2.0 interface delivers essential features in a space-saving format.
Starting with the inputs, there are two combo sockets (XLR/jack) available. Both support line and microphone signals, with Input 1 also functioning as a Hi-Z input for electric guitars or basses. The 48V phantom power required for condenser microphones can be conveniently activated on the side of the unit.
Another useful feature is the Stereo Link function, which allows both inputs to be controlled via a single knob. This is especially handy for stereo signals connected to the left and right inputs that require identical gain levels.
A Direct Monitor switch on the side allows you to pre-listen to and monitor your signals in real time. The signal is simultaneously routed to your recording or streaming software. The Loopback function, located right next to it, can also be activated directly. This feature combines the input signal with playback audio from your computer and sends the mix to your streaming software. It's an ideal way to add background music to a stream or to combine live vocals with a backing track.
In general, two headphone outputs and a stereo output for speakers are available for monitoring, giving you flexible options for working anywhere.
Zoom’s AMS series is designed to integrate seamlessly with popular applications, apps, and operating systems. In Streaming mode, you can easily connect with your audience – on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Instagram, or Patreon.
