The Zoom H-5

The H-5 is a mobile multitrack recorder. It offers 4 tracks and comes with a completely redesigned X/Y microphone unit and modular capsule system from the H6. This microphone capsule offers two matched unidirectional condenser microphones arranged at a 90-degree angle. Of course, the H5 also features the analog rotary controls for gain control familiar from the H6. Two XLR/TRS combo inputs process microphone and line level signals, allowing connection of appropriate microphones and line level sources such as mixers, mobile playback devices, effects processors and electronic keyboards. Record directly to SD and SDHC memory cards with a capacity of up to 32 GB. The maximum recording time depends only on the available storage capacity and the file type. For example, you can record up to fourteen hours of stereo audio in MP3 format (320 kbps), three hours in linear CD format (16-bit, 44.1 kHz, Wav) or one hour in 24-bit/96 kHz (Wav) on the included 2 GB SD memory card.

The Zoom H-5 Field Recorder is the little brother of the award-winning H6 Recorder and uses the same modular capsule system.
