The top specialist - the beyerdynamic DT 880 Edition at 32 ohms - combines the strengths of open and closed headphones. Shielded ambient noise ensures excellent directional localisation. The complete sound spectrum from the abysmal Bass to the airiest highs is fully fanned out. The highs are crystal clear without being unpleasant and impress with a velvety-soft sound. The neutral, well-balanced mids are analytical and assertive without dominating and its clearly placed Bass is voluminous without sounding intrusive.

The tighter contact pressure, which is common with professional headphones, has also been reduced - continuous listening without the "vice effect".
