Small Diaphragm Microphone, Cardioid, Low Cut, 15db Pad
The Beyerdynamic MC 930 Condenser Microphone high-quality, universal condenser microphone features an exceptional price/performance ratio. Critical features of the MC930 are the wide frequency response of 40 - 20,000 Hz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 71 dB.
The Beyerdynamic MC930 Condenser Microphone is suitable for miking choirs, orchestras and solo instruments. Due to the switchable pre-attenuation of 15 dB it provides excellent performance at high sound pressure levels. The switchable bass roll-off filter with 6 dB/Octave at 250 Hz compensates for proximity effects. The MC 930 is phantom powered (11 - 52 V) and is suitable for live applications and installations.
The Beyerdynamic MC 930 Condenser Microphone main features include:
Cardioid polar pattern
Switchable pre-attenuation -15 dB
Switchable bass roll-off filter at 250 Hz
Phantom power 11 - 52 V
With MKV 9 microphone clamp for shaft diameter 19-21 mm
I have tried a number of small diaphragm condenser microphones on acoustic guitar, and this is one of the best. It does have a strong bass response, so you may have to place it further away from the guitar than normal. It pairs very well with a DAV BG1U preamp.
