With the sE7 sideFire stereo set , sE Electronics offers a factory-tuned small diaphragm condenser microphone duo that meets the highest demands for stereo precision, fidelity and flexibility. The innovative side-address design with a fixed 90° capsule angle allows particularly space-saving and creative microphone setups in any recording situation - ideal for stereo setups in confined spaces, when recording in the studio or for mobile use.

Ideal for stereo applications with perfect phase coherence

The two microphones in the stereo set are manually tuned to each other and deliver identical acoustic characteristics. This results in exceptionally precise stereo reproduction with excellent phase coherence - perfect for techniques such as XY, ORTF or AB.

Clear, natural sound across the entire frequency spectrum

The sE7 sideFire is based on the proven sound architecture of the classic sE7 and delivers neutral, detailed reproduction across the entire audible frequency range. The ultra-thin diaphragm used enables excellent transient response and ensures a dynamic, impulse response recording. Instruments such as acoustic guitars, pianos, brass instruments or percussion components are reproduced authentically and powerfully - without any harshness in the treble or weaknesses in the bass range.

Balanced electronics for interference-free recordings

Inside the microphone are discrete Class A electronics combined with a transformerless output. This technical basis contributes significantly to the extremely low-noise signal processing and makes the sE7 sideFire one of the quietest microphones in its class. The switchable -20 dB pad allows it to be used with particularly loud sound sources, such as snare drums or brass instruments, without clipping. An integrated low-cut filter at 80 Hz reliably suppresses impact noise and unwanted low-frequency interference.

Robust design for studio and stage

The housing of the sE7 sideFire is made entirely of metal and offers a high level of protection against mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference. This means that it is not only ideally equipped for stationary use in the studio, but also for the rough and tumble of the stage. A high-quality microphone clip including threaded adapter and a matching windscreen are included in the scope of delivery and make it easy to attach to any microphone stand.
