The Duesenberg Paloma Custom Black is an exceptionally stylish solidbody model from the Hanover-based guitar manufacturer, offering a wide range of tonal options combined with classic Art Deco flair inspired by the 1920s. The electric guitar features a trio of high-quality pickups for a versatile sound palette, while gold Duesenberg hardware ensures a classic appearance and reliable performance. The Duesenberg Paloma also comes with a premium gig bag.
The elegantly contoured offset body of the Paloma is made of alder and delivers a fast response, long sustain and classic tonal characteristics. Its ergonomic shape ensures excellent playing comfort whether seated or standing. Design features such as the wide tummy cut and the slanted armrest allow unrestricted playability, while the high-gloss black finish with full cream binding adds a striking visual touch.
The one-piece maple neck features a medium D profile that offers a balanced feel suitable for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. It provides excellent control across the rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets. Stylish diamond-shaped perloid inlays mark the fret positions and add an elegant visual detail. The black lacquered headstock with the D logo and the characteristic three-step design completes the classic Duesenberg look.
The triple pickup configuration of the Duesenberg Paloma uses highly regarded pickups capable of producing a broad spectrum of classic and modern tones. A powerful Duesenberg SplitKing humbucker is installed in both the neck and bridge positions, while the Pearlito single coil in the middle position delivers airy, clear single-coil sounds. A four-position rotary switch selects the active pickup configuration, while the shared volume and tone controls allow precise adjustment of output level and tone.
Naturally, the Duesenberg Paloma is equipped with Duesenberg hardware known for its innovative design details. The short version of the Duesenberg Diamond Deluxe Tremola combines traditional vibrato effects with modern playing comfort. On the headstock, the proven Duesenberg Z-Tuners provide precise tuning and excellent tuning stability. All hardware components feature classic Art Deco design elements and a uniform nickel finish.
