A curly maple and a cone resonator produce the distinctive sound.
Construction and sound
Built with a curly maple body and solid curly maple top, the RRG50CE-SSB delivers strong projection and pronounced sustain. Treble and midrange frequencies are particularly well-defined, while the distinctive aluminum cone resonator provides the signature overtone-rich twang and boosts overall volume for stage-ready performance. The single-cone design ensures the sound develops quickly and sustains beautifully.
Compact guitar with a handy design.
Playability
Beyond its unique tonal character, the guitar offers comfortable handling. The curly maple neck with ebony fingerboard fits naturally in the hand, and a 43 mm nut width accommodates flatpicking and strumming. A generous cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets, and the shortened 628 mm scale length allows for a relaxed, effortless grip on the strings.
