Based on a true semi-hollow classic, the J & D SH-1 II Vintage Sunburst Semi-Hollow offers a wide tonal range, from sparkling clean sounds to rich, punchy rock tones. The body follows the traditional construction with a 3-ply maple/poplar laminate, while the set mahogany neck with a balanced C profile provides a comfortable foundation for effortless lead playing on the 22-fret purpleheart fingerboard. As with the original design, two humbucker pickups deliver the SH-1 II’s versatile sound character and can be combined in numerous ways via separate volume and tone controls. Further highlights of the J & D SH-1 II Vintage Sunburst include a Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece and six die-cast tuners, ensuring reliable performance and tuning stability.
