Behringer Model D
Monophone Analog Synthesizer in Desktop/Eurorack Format
Detailed Minimoog Model D Replication
Behringer Model D is a monophonic analog synthesizer in a desktop design. For the authentic replication of the legendary Minimoog Model D sound, "D-typical" JFETs and identical transistors, resistors and capacitors were used. A completely analog signal path of the VCO, VCF and VCA, as well as the classic 24dB cascade filter allow for unbelievably assertive and distinctive sounds. In addition, Model D offers other functions such as a filter characteristic that can be switched between low/high-pass and a semi-modular design, which means that Behringer Model D is perfectly integrated into modular Eurorack synthesizers as a complete synth voice.
The authentic sound was achieved through the detailed replication of all sound shaping entities:
- Three oscillators with five waveforms with pulse width modulation
- Noise generator for generating further waveforms
- Complete analog signal path for VCO, VCF and VCA
- Assignable, fully analog LFO with rectangular/triangular waveform
- Overdrive circuit (overload)
- Classic 24dB cascade filter with resonance
Additional Functions:
- Selectable low/high-pass filter characteristic for extended sound spectrum
- Semi-modular (internally pre-wired) signal flow for instant playing without additional cables
- For applications in the modular system, the internal pre-wiring can be "broken up" by patching cables and used for modulation.
- Use as a complete synthesizer voice in the Eurorack Modular system with 14 patch points
- Extensive MIDI implementation
Behringer Model D Overview:

for the money, this has to be the best mono synth on the market. behringer are really onto a good thing with these analogue synths at affordable prices - it's opened up a whole new world of sound, which was only previously available to people with serious amounts of money. if they continue in this vein it's going to really have an impact on people getting into synthesized music with high quality gear at their disposal, as it's now actually becoming affordable.

After owning several VA synths, this is my first analog synth.
It has great sound, very good build quality and tweaking capabilities.
The character and price of this synth are amazing.
