The FBT J 5A is an active 2-way loudspeaker in an extremely compact and lightweight enclosure, and the ideal solution for applications where reliability and clear sound reproduction are essential – whether in conference rooms, multimedia presentations or as a discreet monitor on stage.

Powerful bi-amp technology

Despite its small size, the J 5A delivers a remarkable output of 80 W + 40 W RMS thanks to modern Class D amplifiers. The bi-amp design ensures that the woofer and tweeter are driven separately, resulting in high dynamic range and a maximum sound pressure level of 117 dB peak. An integrated analogue signal processor with a limiter continuously monitors the system and guarantees safe operation even at higher volume levels.

Flexibility in use

The gas-sprayed polypropylene enclosure impresses with its high robustness and functional design. Thanks to its asymmetrical design, the loudspeaker can be used flexibly and can also be employed as a floor monitor without any issues. Two M6 threaded mounting points for fixed installation, along with an integrated 35 mm tripod flange, ensure simple and versatile mounting, allowing the J 5A to adapt effortlessly to different environments. In terms of sound quality, the system features a switchable high-pass filter, which allows for seamless integration with a subwoofer and optimally complements the sound spectrum in the low-frequency range.

Compact and portable

Weighing just 3.2 kg, the J 5A is extremely easy to transport and quick to set up. The combination of a 5-inch woofer and a 1-inch neodymium silk dome tweeter delivers a balanced sound response from 80 Hz to 20 kHz, reproducing both speech and music with equal detail. Two integrated M6 threaded mounting points also offer flexible options for wall or ceiling mounting.
