The HK Audio PORTABLE SUB 115 A is an active 15" subwoofer for professional sound reinforcement applications, combining powerful bass reproduction with high flexibility and practical features. Equipped with a 15"-woofer featuring a 3"-voice coil and a Class D amplifier delivering 700 watts RMS and 1,400 watts peak power, it provides a solid low-frequency foundation for a wide range of applications. With a maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB SPL, the subwoofer is suitable for both mobile set-ups and demanding sound reinforcement tasks.

The integrated DSP pre-amplifier operates at a 48 kHz sample rate and provides presets for HK Audio LUNAR, SONAR and POLAR, as well as a General mode. This allows the subwoofer to be integrated quickly and easily into various system configurations. The crossover frequency can be selected between 100 Hz and 80 Hz, whilst the integrated crossover operates at 24 dB/octave. With a frequency response ranging from 42 Hz up to the crossover frequency (-6 dB) , the PORTABLE SUB 115 A provides a solid foundation for powerful bass reproduction. Subsonic filters, as well as peak and RMS limiters, protect the loudspeaker components.

The connection options include 2 balanced XLR/jack combo inputs and 2 balanced XLR thru outputs, which allow for flexible signal routing. The robust MDF cabinet with a deep black (RAL 9005) acrylic lacquer finish is designed for daily use and features two ergonomic MultiGrip carrying handles for comfortable handling. An M20 pole mount flange allows for the secure mounting of extension poles and satellite speakers. The features are rounded off by a sturdy 1.5 mm metal front grille with black acoustic foam, the deep black (RAL 9005) finish and German manufacturing. Weighing 32.8 kg and measuring 43 × 56.5 × 63.8 cm, the PORTABLE SUB 115 A offers a professional solution for powerful bass reinforcement.
