Shimmering additional sounds for cymbals and hi-hats
The Meinl Ching Ring CRING 6" is a compact chime ring designed to enhance the sound of hi-hats, crash and ride cymbals. Placed directly on the cymbal, it complements the existing cymbal sound with a soft, shimmering ‘ching’ or tambourine-like character. On the hi-hat in particular, it allows you to quickly create an additional rhythmic texture.
The five pairs of stainless-steel jingles blend with the natural cymbal sound when played and respond immediately to strikes and movements. As no additional mounting is required, the Ching Ring can be quickly fitted, removed and switched between different cymbals.

Looks/feels well built but was expecting a louder jingle.
It still adds character to hats, stacks and even snares. If you are micing the hats you can move the mic to get more out of the chinks and less of the hat top if that's what you are going for.
