The Squier Paranormal Electric VI draws on some of the most unusual Fender design ideas from the 1960s, combining the distinctive Electric XII body shape with the familiar playability of a six-string electric guitar. Two specially tuned Fender-designed split-coil ‘VI’ Alnico pickups deliver a crisp tone with a distinct vintage character and are controlled via a versatile 4-way rotary switch. In addition to the neck and bridge pickups individually, there is a shared in-phase and an out-of-phase switching option for additional tonal variations. The slightly shortened 24.75" scale length, a slim C-profile neck and the bound Indian laurel fingerboard with pearloid block inlays ensure comfortable playability, whilst a Mustang-style tremolo allows for expressive vibrato effects. The distinctive retro look is rounded off by the Coronado-inspired headstock and the control panel modelled on the historic Electric XII.
