Precise direct-drive mechanism and professional tonearm technology

The coreless direct-drive motor has been designed for powerful, stable and precise performance. The turntable offers speeds of 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm and achieves a fast start-up time thanks to its high starting torque of 0.18 N·m or 1.8 kg/cm. The SL-1200M7GEW takes just 0.7 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 33⅓ rpm.

The extremely low speed variation of 0.025 % WRMS ensures particularly precise rotation. The heavy die-cast aluminium platter, with a diameter of 332 mm and a weight of approximately 1.8 kg including the slipmat and slipsheet, supports high rotational stability.

The professional S-shaped tonearm features height adjustment from 0 to 6 mm and enables precise tracking. Its wide range of cartridge compatibility allows for the use of a variety of DJ and hi-fi cartridge systems. The adjustable tonearm offers a tracking force range of 0 to 4 g and supports cartridge weights of 5.6 to 12.0 g without an additional weight, or 14.3 to 20.7 g including the headshell.

For DJ applications, a pitch control with a ±8 per cent and ±16 per cent adjustment range is available. The signal is transmitted via a separate RCA phono output and a ground terminal.

The design of the Technics SL-1200M7GEW combines the iconic silhouette of the SL-1200 series with a clean and bright appearance. The White Edition highlights the turntable’s distinctive shape with a white finish, complemented by elegant gold anniversary accents.

Special design features include a gold-anodised S-shaped aluminium tonearm, a gold-coloured tonearm base and gold-coloured controls. The platter also features a distinctive anniversary accent with its gold-coloured rim and gold-coloured stroboscope markings.

A matching gold slipmat and the gold-coloured headshell round off the look. A custom-engraved anniversary emblem with its own serial number emphasises its special collector’s status. The White Edition combines a light colour scheme with the exclusive character of the limited-edition anniversary model.
