The Behringer XR18 X-Air is a compact digital rack mixer with integrated WiFi and flexible control via tablet, smartphone or computer. Via iOS, Android, macOS, Linux or Windows, the mix can be adjusted directly from the room, from the FOH position or from the stage.
With 18 analogue inputs, including 16 XLR/jack combo sockets, the mixer offers sufficient connection options for bands, acoustic setups and mobile productions. The 16 MIDAS preamps provide a solid basis for vocals, instruments and multi-track recordings.
Four internal stereo effect processors and extensive EQ and dynamics functions are available for sound processing. The integrated 100-band Real Time Analyser supports the control of the mix and helps to adapt to different rooms.
All 18 input channels can be transferred to a DAW as individual tracks via USB. This makes the XR18 X-Air suitable not only for live mixing and monitoring, but also for rehearsal room recordings, recordings and mobile recording setups.
The trend towards working in a space-saving way with reduced equipment is favoured by the use of a tablet or PC, as there are no more faders and knobs that could succumb to corrosive forces and scratch. All this is now a thing of the past. The BEHRINGER X-Touch hardware controller can be connected to the XR18 for engineers who still need the feeling of faster access via faders and pots.
Whether on stage or in the studio, the Behringer XR18 X-Air is a reliable tool.

Also I had some problems with old wi-fi drivers for PC
Just what I needed to replace my old analogue mixing desk and audio interface. This is an all singing all dancing combo. Well done DV247 for getting it to me so quickly. I had previously been let down by a rival German music company who name I will not mention and I’m still waiting for a refund from them. If you need anything music or Pro audio try DV247 first.!!
Very good mixer. Just download either the app for iPad or the computer app. I was operational in 15 minutes. Good selection of powerful effects and easy-to-use equaliser. Also individual phantom power for condenser mikes. Very complete!
Used the mixer for a concert with 7 mikes and 8 instruments with two busses for the monitors. The setup and adjustments through the iPad made it very easy to get at good sound quickly without having a 30m stagebox and an analogue mixer.
Note: Due to a wireless system in the same room and audience use of wifi I could not get a stable wi-fi connection to the mixer during the concert. It was therefore wired through Ethernet to a laptop. Under these circumstances an external wifi router is definitely needed to ensure connectivity.
Behringer does not deliver an iPhone app but the "X Air FMP" at 8.99 works really well for quick settings. For normal use the screen is simply too small and the iPad or laptop is required.
A pandora's box for live use, this is a game changer. Very nice sounding preamps and the ability to multitrack 16 channels live is excellent.
The iPad app is a bit clunky but if you run it hardwired on Mac it's perfect. Wireless has a few dropouts but generally works ok.
For the price, this can't be beat.
