Doepfer A-119v External Input / Envelope Follower Vintage Edition is an interface module for modular synthesisers in Eurorack format. The module is designed to integrate external audio signals into modular systems. It comprises a preamplifier, Envelope Follower and a Komparator (comparator). Three LEDs are used to monitor the gain, the envelope and the Gatesignal.
Preamplifier
The preamplifier has two inputs:
An unbalanced input with a gain factor of 0 to 20, primarily intended for line-level signals
A balanced input with a gain factor of 0 to 500 for integrating low-level signals
Envelope Follower
The Envelope Follower generates an envelope at its output in accordance with the waveform of the external audio signal.
Comparator
The comparator generates a gate signal based on the level of an adjustable trigger threshold
