The Faderfox UC4 is a versatile universal controller for all types of MIDI-controllable hardware and software. Equipped with 8 endless push encoders, 9 faders, and 8 buttons, which can be switched across 8 groups, it allows control of up to 264 parameters. MIDI commands such as pitch bend, aftertouch, program change, and control change are supported. A 4-digit display provides clear, real-time information on programming and controller values. The encoders can operate in 14-bit high-resolution mode, making them ideal for controlling sensitive parameters like filter cutoffs. Additionally, 18 internal memory slots are available for storing custom setups. The UC4’s factory settings are optimised for immediate use with MIDI-compatible music and video software, eliminating the need for additional configuration on the device. It is particularly well-suited as an extension for Ableton Live. A dedicated control surface script for Ableton Live 8/9, complete with all necessary mappings, is included. This script also allows the use of two UC4 controllers to manage up to 16 tracks simultaneously. With its compact design and flexible operation, the Faderfox UC4 is an ideal solution for both studio and live applications.

Faderfox UC4This is a great product, but the manual is awful.
Hopefully, this info will save you lots of frustration. Note that there are TWO GROUPINGS which can be selected/edited; the encoders are one grouping, the faders/buttons are another grouping. Make sure that you select both groups when editing. This is not clear in the manual & caused me hours of frustration. The encoders group is selected by holding shift & clicking the corresponding encoder, the faders group is selected by holding shift & pressing the corresponding green button. Alternatively you can select both groups at once by holding the edit button & clicking either the corresponding encoder or the corresponding green button. This process is used to select the group when using the device & also the same process is used whilst in edit mode to select the group to edit.
Just got it as a live control for a mobile rig with a few devices, and it's just great.
Lite weight , straight forward connectivity, very easy to program on the device , no computer needed , and seems very rigid to it's size

A quality piece of equipment, and makes a big difference after years of using cheap MIDI controllers. I have not yet dug into programming the unit, but initial impressions are very positive.
The form factor of the unit is perfect for me, although actually slightly larger than I was expecting.
Despite being sold as a universal controller, it is clearly aimed towards Ableton Live users, and I would check very carefully if this is the right controller for you if you don't use Live.
