For beginners aged six and over, or as a practical and affordable travel guitar, the J & D ST-MINI Sunburst is the ideal companion. This mini electric guitar is particularly well-suited as a starter instrument, as durability and versatility are key features of the ST-MINI. With a scale length of 564 mm instead of the usual 648 mm, it’s perfectly suited to very young guitarists and also offers plenty of fun for taller players with silky-smooth bends. The ST-MINI’s key features include an alder body, a bolt-on maple neck with a composite fingerboard, a powerful humbucker pickup at the bridge, a single-coil pickup at the neck, a 3-way switch and a vintage-style vibrato system. As a result, the ST-MINI covers a wide range of musical styles sonically.
The G10 Practice Combo, also included in the set, is the perfect complement to the ST-MINI electric guitar for learning your first riffs and songs. This compact guitar amplifier not only features a space-saving design but, with its 10 watts, also offers sufficient power for your first practice sessions. There is a volume control on board to adjust the amplifier’s volume. In addition, the G10’s basic tone can be adjusted using the two bass and treble controls. The former determines the level of low frequencies, whilst the latter influences the treble. Things get really wild when you flick the Drive switch. This switches the amp into Drive mode, delivering wild, distorted sounds perfect for rocking out! Last but not least, there’s a headphone socket on board, so you can play and practise silently at any time.
As well as an electric guitar and amplifier, the set contains pretty much everything you need to get off to a flying start on the electric guitar. Firstly, the J & D ST-MINI Pack comes with a matching gig bag, allowing you to transport the instrument safely and securely to lessons or band rehearsals. The set also includes a handy clip-on tuner, ensuring you’re always perfectly in tune. In addition, there’s an instrument cable to connect to the amplifier, three picks and a guitar strap, so you can get started straight away. And should a string ever snap, replacement strings are also included.
