As a beginner musician who builds up his gear, I always have cable issues when I get some new equipment. Y cables, adapters and other cable will be never enough. I live in Ireland and any time when I need a Y-cable or an adapter cable, I can not find in my local music shop, or they have the lowest quality ones for triple price like on the internet.
My suggestion: get the basic Y-adapter cables from Music Store. Good to have them, and you before you actually need them. (Soon or later you will need them...)

For the money you can't go wrong :-)
