With the Ortega RST5-1/2 Natural Highgloss Ortega presents a concert guitar in compact 1/2 size, which addresses the youngest beginners with comfortable playability and an excellent price/performance ratio. The unique tonewood selection of spruce and Catalpla promises a lively and brilliant sound, while the flawless workmanship of the mahogany neck ensures a butter-soft playability.
Ortega Guitars uses a combination of exotic and classical tone woods for the body of the Ortega RST5-1/2. While the top of the 1/2 concert guitar is classically made of spruce, the back and sides are made of Catalpa, which convinces with its excellent sound characteristics. The classical guitar has a particularly brilliant sound with a lively response.
Ortega uses classic mahogany with a rosewood fretboard for the Ortega RST5 neck. The ergonomic profile in combination with the flawless fret, the compact 560 mm scale length and the narrow fretboard with a saddle size of 43.5 mm allows an extremely soft playability with a clean fingering. In addition, the Ortega RST5 is equipped with high-quality mechanics in nickel look, which promise long lasting playing pleasure with high tuning stability.
Ortega RST5-1/2 Natural HighglossI brought this for my Stepson who is learning guitar and had the 3/4 size guitar he started with stolen from School. The guitar has a quality feel, with a low-action comfortable neck and great tuners. The sound is warm and balanced and suited to bossa nova. Hard to fault at this price point.
