De NE-10 Noise Eater is zodanig ontworpen en gebouwd dat het natuurlijke gevoel van het gebruikte pedaal niet wordt aangetast of vervormd. De stabiele plaat van de NE-10 Noise Eater is uitgerust met een aantal rubberen voetjes met holtes aan de onderzijde, wat de geluidstransmissie van het pedaal naar de grond niet volledig verhindert, maar op een zeer effectieve manier vermindert.

Roland Noise Eater NE-10 voor Kick pedaalsOrdered this small mat to be placed underneath my Roland KD-10, which causes intrusive vibrations downstairs.
I have to say it’s quite effective. Make no mistake: you’ll still hear the kick, but in my case (with concrete floors/ceilings) the NE-10 brings the vibrations down to the same level as the ones caused by the other drum pads. That’s a nice improvement overall, because it was the kick pedal vibrations that could be heard in the neighbour’s house as well (I live in a terraced house). The hi-hat stand (for which this is also designed) really doesn’t need one in my experience.
All in all, it’s a well-made product (it’s Roland after all) that does what it says on the tin, but it comes at a fairly steep price. For me it was worth it, knowing that I’m not causing any more disturbance for my neighbours.
