Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra

Versatile and perfectly balanced overdrive sounds, ranging from rich crunch to brutal fuzz, are the Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra’s speciality. Equipped with variable high-pass and low-pass filters, the pedal splits the bass signal into a high-frequency range for the CMOS distortion circuit and a low-frequency range that remains clean to maintain punch and definition, and can be fattened up using the dedicated compressor if desired. The cutoff frequencies can be precisely selected using the corresponding controls, whilst separate level controls allow for optimal adjustment of the ratio between the high-pass and low-pass signals. For final tone shaping, the Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra also features a 6-band graphic equaliser that precisely targets the frequency ranges that define the tone. With its balanced direct output, the Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra can also be connected directly to audio interfaces, mixing desks or recording equipment, whilst the headphone socket enables silent electric bass playing. The switchable IR-based (Impulse Response) speaker simulation ensures a natural sound experience.
