The Erica Synths Plasma Drive is a distortion module that uses high voltage conversion to process the signal. The module was developed in cooperation with Gamechanger Audio and converts the audio signal to 3000 Volt using a xenon-filled tube, among other things. These continuous high-voltage discharges in combination with the two tracking oscillators (+1 oct up / -2 oct down) are what ultimately remains as a highly distorted audio signal. The results can be described as extreme and fancy. Voltage strength and mixing ratio can be influenced with CV, the oscillators can be switched on manually or with Gate. An equalizer adjusts the sound with bass and treble accordingly. The sound and functionality of this distortion are so far unique on the market!
