The Ibanez Premium AZ242F-DEB Dragon Eye Burst is the perfect tool for the modern guitarist looking for a first-class electric guitar for the most virtuoso playing techniques in rock, fusion and jazz contexts. The electric guitar convinces not only with an ergonomic design and versatile sounds, but also with an extremely attractive price. In addition to the basswood body with its chic maple top, the guitar is equipped with a roasted maple neck for unhindered playability, while specially developed Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups with dyna-MIX10 circuitry ensure versatile sounds with lively articulation. The Ibanez AZ242F also features a Gotoh T1502 tremolo and Gotoh H.A.P. Magnum Lock tuners.
For the ergonomically designed body of the Ibanez AZ242F, Ibanez chooses American lime and a top made of intensely figured maple, with wide cut cutaways and the "Super All Access Neck Joint" making even the highest frets easily accessible. The absolute highlight of the Ibanez AZ242 is without a doubt the screwed neck made of Roasted Maple. The thermal treatment in a vacuum makes the maple more resonant and insensitive to climatic changes. The medium-strong "AZ" profile lies comfortably in the hand, so that between the 24 stainless steel frets in jumbo format every song, no matter how complex, can be played comfortably. Fluorescent side dots allow playing on even the darkest stages.
For optimal sound conversion, no one less than Seymour Duncan contributes the pickups of the Ibanez AZ242F. The Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers, installed in the neck and middle position, convince with a moderately increased output and a balanced reproduction of all frequencies, so that in connection with the lively dynamics, expressive electric guitar playing is optimally supported. The coils of the pickups of different combinations are selected by means of the 5-way blade switch, whereby additional options can be called up thanks to the dyna-MIX10 circuit. For example, each time the "Alter" switch is pressed, a coil of each humbucker with a reduced number of windings is "tapped", providing thinned, finely resolved timbres.
Last but not least, the Ibanez Prestige AZ242F-DEB Dragon Eye Burst convinces with first-class hardware equipment. The Gotoh T1502 tremolo, specially developed for the Ibanez Premium AZ series, is used as the bridge, equipped with stainless steel string riders to enhance the sound. With string spacing of 10.5 mm, it also supports optimum striking technique. At the headstock, the strings are also guided via a GraphTech saddle to the Gotoh Magnum Lock H.A.P. tuners, whose height-adjustable winding axes guarantee optimum string pressure.
