With the Ibanez RG652KFXL-KB Lefthand Koa Brown from the Prestige series, Ibanez presents an exclusive special model of the popular RG, which is a visual highlight thanks to the top made of noble Australian Blackwood and the fingerboard made of Marbled Rosewood. The body of the RG652KFXL, made in Japan, is made of lime and bears the eponymous ceiling. The 5 striped neck made of maple and walnut is screwed to the body and carries a fretboard made of Marbled Rosewood with 24 frets in jumbo format.
Two humbuckers from DiMarzio are used as pickups on the Ibanez RG652KFX Lefthand. The DP193 Air Norton in the neck position delivers a deep and warm sound with excellent definition, suitable for both clean and crunchy sounds. In the bridge position is the DP155 The Tone Zone, which is characterized by an extremely dynamic sound and responds excellently to the velocity. The 5-way blade switch selects the pickups in positions 1, 3, and 5 individually and in combination. In position 2 the inner coils of the humbuckers are activated together, resulting in a bright, very clean sound. In position 4 the neck humbucker is operated in parallel, resulting in a sound with reduced output and a thinned out mid-spectrum. A master volume control and a master tone control are also available for controlling the sound.
