With the Sandberg Forty Eight 5 EB BlackHighglossWhite Block Matching Headstock, the Braunschweig-based bass company Sandberg presents a five-string electric bass whose unique body shaping in the modern VintageStyle style immediately catches the eye on any stage. The combination of classic woods with powerful Sandberg pickups and an active 3-band tone control promises a wide range of fat rock sounds that are in no way inferior to the breathtaking look.

In addition to the alder body, the Sandberg Forty Eight 5-String has a six-piece bolt-on maple neck.
Breathtaking looks with classic construction
The Brunswick bass specialists rely on classic woods for the construction of the Sandberg Forty Eight. Accordingly, the combination of a large alder body and a six-piece bolt-on maple neck with ebony fingerboard gives the Fivestring a bright sound whose almost attack is the perfect basis for driving grooves in rock and metal bands. The low B-string is also reproduced harmonically with precise tone development. The wide neck has a comfortable"C" profile and a flat fingerboard radius so that everything comes out of the fingers easily when playing Bass.
The large nickel caps conceal a Sandberg Split Coil and a Sandberg Powerhumbucker.
Fat sound thanks to Sandberg humbuckers
The impressive nickel caps of the Sandberg Forty Eight conceal two powerful Sandberg pickups, with which the Bass delivers variable power sounds for the harder gear on the amplifier, without the low B-string dropping off in pressure and definition. The Sandberg power humbucker with serially wired coils positioned close to the bridge delivers a brute Output and a mid-focused sound that cuts through the band sound with playful ease. The second Sandberg power humbucker installed in the middle position, on the other hand, impresses with its rough low-mid growl, which gives rock grooves in particular the necessary boost. A musically tuned 3-band tone control with push/pull volume control for passive mode is also available for adjusting the sound.
The Sandberg Machine Heads on the headstock of the Forty Eight impress with their precise running and low weight.

In addition, the Sandberg Forty Eight is equipped with in-house SandbergHardware hardware that impresses with its uncompromising functionality. The solidly built Sandberg Bridge 5 has three-dimensionally adjustable string saddles which, in addition to perfect string action and intonation, also allow the string spacing to be adjusted to suit your personal playing style. At the headstock, on the other hand, lightweight Sandberg Machine Heads ensure a long-lasting and precise tuning of the rocking 5-string bass.
