Mastering tool in Eurorack format

With the Leveling EQ Amplifier - LEQA for short - 4ms presents an audio processor for the sophisticated processing of stereo signals. The LEQA is recommended as a backend module for enhancing a patch, the stereo bus or the entire mix. The module is inspired by the mastering classics LA-2A compressor and the 1073 EQ and has been supplemented by a stereo width processor. For ease of use, predefined curves and frequency selections are used for intuitive mixing, allowing great sounding mixes to be achieved with minimal effort.

The compressor works with two ratios: 3:1 (Comp) and 10:1 (Limit), covering two different processing approaches. The Gain Reduction and Make-Up Gain parameters are adjustable. The Dry/Wet control enables parallel compression, which has long been a tried and tested trick for many mastering professionals for fine-tuning. The compressor is inactive in the bypass position.

The equalizer is a musical 4-band EQ with low-shelf & high-shelf filter with boost/cut controls, mid bell and high-pass filter. The EQ can also be switched before or after the compressor section. The EQ level control allows detailed interventions through to drastic effects.

The stereo width performs mono to Stereo and Stereo to mono conversion, tightens or widens the stereo width and all this with CV control if required.

The LEQA is ideal for live performances, studio work, subtle sound coloration and extreme sound shaping and is capable of gluing different signals together.
