Experimental stereo effect from Befaco Oneiroi

With Iroi, Befaco presents the sound-shaping part of the highly acclaimed Oneiroi Synthvoice. The module combines a multimode filter with VCA, resonator, echo, reverb,an internal modulator and randomizer as well as a complete stereo signal path in an unfamiliar way. The filter-VCA combination acts as a building block that can be placed anywhere in the signal chain. It is highly recommended as a creative epicenter for unusual sounds and as a backend for patches of any size.

The resonant multimode filter has lowpass, bandpass, highpass and comb filter characteristics. This is followed by a 3-band resonator, which makes an enormous contribution to the overall sound of the module. The effects echo with two tap taps and a very good-sounding ambience reverb round off the module. Most of the parameters can be modulated via control voltage, and there is also an internal modulator that functions as an LFO with standard waveforms, sample & hold or envelope follower and can be assigned to any parameter. Thanks to the controller pick-up for recoupling the parameter positions, parameter jumps are avoided. The randomizer, which can be applied to three ranges in three intensity levels, is a real hit. Even undo/redo has been thought of to bring back the better setting from before.
