Classic drum machine beats for studio and live jams
With the RD-6 SR,Behringer presents its reinterpretation of the famous Roland TR-606 (1982-1984) and thus also the "little sister" of the RD-8. It was once the TR-606 that provided the rhythmic accompaniment for the TB-303 bassline in the same housing, but Behringer has elegantly repackaged this with the RD-6 SR. The purist, analogue sound is as suitable then as it is now for electro tracks and, of course, anything that needs pressure or simply needs to complement another drum machine. Eight instruments and accents can be programmed. Bass drum and snare have their own volume control, toms, hihats and cymbal/clap are each set in pairs.
Sequencer
The iconic sequencer provides access to 32 patterns, each of which can be up to 16 steps long, and of course the song mode. The Behringer RD-6 SR also has four integrated scales, each of which allows a different rhythm. Thanks to the randomise function, the RD-6 SR allows you to create new patterns at the touch of a button, which are a constant source of inspiration and variation. This eliminates the need to play the TR-606's battery in and out to achieve the same effect.
Distortion!
As the sounds can only be adjusted in volume, Behringer has given the RD-6 SR an extensively adjustable distortion effect, which will please fans of somewhat harder sounds in particular. In terms of sound, this is an immense enhancement that may make an external distortion unit obsolete for some.
Connections
In addition to the original template from the 80s, the RD-6 SR has six individual outputs for the instruments, two analogue trigger outputs, Sync In and Out and a connection for a footswitch to start and stop the drum computer.
