I love this pedal! Firstly, being a Boss pedal, its practically unbreakable. Not that its an advisable thing to do, but Ill dropped mine numerous times and theres not even a scratch on it. I always change my rig around but this is the one pedal I always make sure to include. I think it sounds great, a real thick overdrive that could be considered borderline distortion when turned up full. As the name suggests, it gives a real bluesy sound and is perfect for genres such as blues, rock, alternative - basically anything that you want to hear a hard, bass-y driven overdrive. It doesnt have too many features which makes it tremendously easy to use and Ive never felt restricted by its lack of settings. I can always get the sound I want out of it.
I use this pedal on a daily basis, with several guitar such as a Telecaster and Singlecut-style and it sounds immaculate. It can really distort your tone, bright highs and nice mids and lows, or you can use it to just slightly push your guitar to the edge of breakup, the range still astonishes me to this very day. It works great for leads and rhythm guitar, and I overall recommend for anybody who's looking for an overdrive.
