I love this pedal! Firstly, being a Boss pedal, its practically unbreakable. Not that its an advisable thing to do, but Ill dropped mine numerous times and theres not even a scratch on it. I always change my rig around but this is the one pedal I always make sure to include. I think it sounds great, a real thick overdrive that could be considered borderline distortion when turned up full. As the name suggests, it gives a real bluesy sound and is perfect for genres such as blues, rock, alternative - basically anything that you want to hear a hard, bass-y driven overdrive. It doesnt have too many features which makes it tremendously easy to use and Ive never felt restricted by its lack of settings. I can always get the sound I want out of it.

Normally I do not really like the overdrive sound (as I prefer distortion) . But I heard how this pedal to jam one day and decided to buy it. The result was better than expected. I do not use a lot of gain. On minimum gainlevel guitar sound becomes noticeably brighter and more transparent, and while playing complex chords separate notes beome clearly distinguishable and.
Now I use it both alone and in couple with distortion pedal (DS-1)^ this give me a wide variety of options for sound. Sometimes using with the bassguitar. Although it cuts off a little bass, the sound becomes useful in some compositions. It’s also OK.
The only negative - its color. This pedal should be bright yellow or green, or, at worst, a bright yellow, but not as blue as it is. Fortunately it is , does not affect at the right sound. :)

It's a Boss pedal. Solidly made and sounds great. Not spectacular but a good low gain drive which works fantastically with other pedals.
